On July 7, ORSP released a new version of the budget template. This version is intended to allow for more user flexibility.
One of the new features include the addition of a new worksheet (Personnel Worksheet (Advanced) that for the calculation of requested salary based on effort, cost of living, and base salary. This worksheet is not mandatory, the previous version of the Personnel Worksheet is retained and can be used. Salary entry can be done in either the Personnel Worksheet (Basic), or in Personnel Worksheet (Advanced), or in both worksheets. It will be totaled on the Budget Summary Worksheet.
The template also allows for the entry of dates in the budget periods rather than automatically setting each period for a year. This template also allows you to split in rates over a budget period that can be adjusted by the percentage of days in the period or by whole months.
Some of the legacy rates have been removed. If it is necessary, the Custom F&A rate can be selected, and the rate entered in the worksheet.
